Well, it’s really hard to say what could be the cause, since the jars shipped with the previous version of iReport are pretty much the iireport, and the the new functionalities are more or less designed and written like the ones already available.

You are missing plenty of jars in your classpath, included apache commons logging. Not in GZIP format at java.

What there is of new that you can not see is the complete native object model now iReport uses the JasperReports model ireport 2.0.5 uses JR to load and store the jrxml files. I’m using iReport NetBeans 6.
