I could see how if you got angry a lot and things seemed to fly around ttalents break all the time around you so you get blamed for all the damage even if you didn’t touch things … that would get annoying and just make you even more angry. The rest of Martin’s friends also have powers, but they too, deny it.

The school bully Bloodbath just sees Martin as a new punching bag. But they’ve been called that for so long even they start to believe it. Martin recognizes this gift for the first time and uses it to keep his tongue under control.

I just learned there’s a sequel that takes place a year later; I added it to my to-read list. He helps them to practice and control their powers, and use them wisely so no one will find out their secret. Martin’s relationship with his father was interesting talentts well, and I would have liked to see that explored more.
